Flex bar system for mass vibration systems in changing spatial orientation using magnetostrictive actuator
The present invention provides methods and apparatus for inducing (harmonic) vibration of objects having a large mass(es), such as the trunk of a fruit or nut tree, the crop of which may be harvested by shaking the tree through the induced vibration. Linear and radial embodiments utilize and include an actuator using Terfenol-D, a magnetostrictive actuator. Different versions utilize a piston rod actuator.

Nut and fruit harvesting apparatus, systems and methods
In an example, a system for harvesting nut and fruit trees includes an electro-mechanical shaker head, a transport mechanism, and a control system. The electro-mechanical shaker head is configured to dislodge fruit or nuts from a target tree using a linear energy system. The transport mechanism is configured to position the electro-mechanical shaker head on the target tree. The control system is communicatively coupled to the shaker head and configured to dynamically control shaker head operation.

Multi-diameter vise clamp and collet jaw
A machine vise has incorporated into it a pair of collet jaws that allows for the machining of top surfaces and ends of a held part. The collet jaws are secured to each of the clamping blocks on the machine vise. The collet jaws include at least one collet pocket shaped into the inside surface of each collet jaw. The collet pockets are designed to receive collet pads which are shaped to hold a generally cylindrical part with varying diameters. By having more than one collet pocket within each collet jaw, several different sizes of collet pads can be utilized at the same time and a part with varying diameters can be held securely in place within the machine vise.

Lighting display and assembly kit
A versatile lighting decoration has a display sheet fabricated from a transparent and resilient film. An outline of a predetermined shape is marked on the film and a plurality of apertures placed through and along the outline. A string of lights having multiple bulbs, each bulb fitted within a socket adapted for gripping the display sheet, is releasably secured in the apertures to generate a lighted image of the predetermined shape that may be highlighted by one or more additional strings of lights.

Multi-purpose orchard shaker/power plant
A harvesting machine for nuts and stone fruits including an articulated body with a front part and a back part. A tree shaker head is detachable and couples to the front part of the harvesting machine by a C-frame mount. The articulated body with a low clearance provides necessary maneuverability in an orchard environment, while permitting the harvesting machine with the shaker head detached, to function as a general purpose orchard machine for mowing, spraying, brush clearing and other associated tasks. Specialized machinery for these tasks is no longer necessary.
